Make the choice easier

A customer can be ready to pay without knowing which payment method will maximise savings. More options create a decision, and the customer has to work out which one is relevant.

Pay Planner addressed that moment: recommend a payment method that helps customers get more value from their purchase.

Take the idea all the way

I owned Pay Planner from inception to launch. The feature recommended payment methods that could help users maximise their savings.

01A choice

Different ways to pay.

02A recommendation

Identify a relevant payment method.

03Customer value

Help maximise savings.

Across the wider Samsung Pay experience, I also built UPI capabilities with NPCI and Axis Bank, working with engineering and payment partners.

Measure whether people returned

Pay Planner drove a 14% increase in weekly active users. Helping customers make a useful payment decision became a reason to engage with the product again.
